Hiroshima August 6, 1945
NWDNS-342-AF-58189 from NAIL

The following pages are about the historical, political and physical effects of the A-Bomb dropping on Hiroshima, Aug 6, 1945. Some of the pictures are disturbing but I am going to show four major themes throughout the course of this sight. I am going to show the making and the capabilities behind the bomb, the mental and physical effects of the bomb after it was dropped on the city of Hiroshima, the long-term effects of the bomb, the political questions raised about the decision to drop it, and the final question Should the bomb have been dropped on the city of Hiroshima. After looking over this site, you will be knowledgable in the history of the atomic bomb and able to decide for yourself, Was the decision correct?

Watch
Kengo Futagawa (59 at the time) was crossing the Kannon Bridge (1,600 meters from the hypocenter) by bicycle on his way to do fire prevention work. He jumped into the river, terribly burned. He returned home, but died on August 22, 1945.
