JFK's Assassination
Life in politics was not always easy. Jack once said about their early relationship, “ It was difficult. I was 36, she was 24. We didn’t fully understand each other (5)”. Jackie worked very hard. When Jack could not attend functions with foreign visitors, Jackie would represent him (5). She traveled the world making speeches with an eloquent voice that appeared to always say the right words. She enchanted everyone she met.
In San Antonio, Texas November 22, 1963 Jack was shot in the throat and then the head, while riding in a parade with his wife (1). The world was saddened by Jack’s sudden death, but nothing compared to what Jackie was forced to endure. Even after just loosing the love of her life, she was a rock. She knew she wanted the funeral to be just like Lincoln’s, since they both were assassinated (1)
